Pathology Ogden
I have been a Speech/Language Pathologist for over 35 years and have found that I am very passionate about the service I provide and the relationships I build. I feel I've been rewarded personally far beyond what I expected. A seemingly simple decision made while getting my undergraduate degree put me on a path of obtaining a Masters degree, both earned at BYU, and then my career. As a therapist, I practice in Adult Neurological Rehabilitation and specialize in cognitive rehab associated with traumatic brain injury and concussion; speech and language disorders associated with strokes; voice impairment typically observed in patients suffering from Parkinson's Disease and swallowing disorders observed with patients who have suffered a neurological event. I hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence with the American Speech and Hearing Association. After graduating, I was fortunate to find employment in the medical arena, treating patients in various settings that include, acute, rehabilitation and out-patient settings. The fulfillment I receive as I assist patients and their families navigate through recovery from a traumatic and life changing event has not diminished at any point throughout my career. I am married and reside in Layton. Each of our 3 children are married and are raising 9 precious grandchildren. In my free time, I enjoy being with them and being a part of their lives. Our family means the world to me and my husband.
