Dr. Paul Whitecar is a specialist in maternal fetal medicine at Intermountain Health’s McKay-Dee Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic and Layton Parkway Maternal Fetal Medicine. He provides care for patients in north Davis County and Weber County, focusing on managing high-risk pregnancies to ensure the health and well-being of both mother and baby. Dr. Whitecar received his medical training at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and completed his OB/GYN residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. He further specialized in Maternal-Fetal Medicine during his fellowship at the University of North Carolina, which he completed in 2001. After practicing Maternal Fetal Medicine for 12 years at Ft. Bragg, Dr. Whitecar retired from the U.S. Army in 2013. His military service included a twelve-month deployment to Iraq. Following his retirement, he joined Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC, where he served as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician. During his tenure at Wake Forest, he was the Medical Director for Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Women's Hospital in Greensboro and briefly held the position of interim division director for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
